As his career shattered and his private life painfully exposed, Wildwood began his sentence with a broken person, but a year later, he emerged from Wormwood Scrubs determined to do his best to change the impact of these strict laws against homosexuality on the lives of men like him. Daniel said, "I am very proud to be part of a TV series that tells such an important real-life story. Peter Wilde is a charming, complex, but flawed character, and when it was very difficult to be gay in the UK - I couldn't wait to bring his story to the audience of BBC Two."
