Well, it is hard to write objectively in a detached perspective about this documentary.
And the reason is very simple : it is the emotional & moving aspect of it that's really important. During this film, the heart is a musical instrument that will be played gently, and the sound of it will echo in it forever.
There is no word that would ever describe the destiny of the Sugar Man. Hard labor worker, with a beautiful soul & voice whose voice could have reverberated in all America & the world. But "les voies du destin sont impénétrables", and he has been rejected by a sad muck formed by discrimination, greed, and tasteless ignorance.
Thank God, destiny is also made of great coincidences & justice ends up eventually by rising to the surface - Cesar ending up getting (part of) his due. But the Sugar Man is more of a Jesus than Cesar : wisdom & modesty don't claim much.
